Dear Cactus Ranch Family,
It is with great pleasure that I welcome you and your child to our first grade class. I hope your summer has been a pleasant one and that everyone is ready for a wonderful year of working and learning together. I am looking forward to the opportunity of having your child in my classroom this year.
I grew up in Pearland, Texas and moved to San Marcos to attend the SWT. Go Bobcats!! We have lived in Round Rock area for 20 years. I am married to Troy, and we have four children. Hunter (20) is a sophomore at Angelo State, Parker (18) is a senior at Round Rock High School, and Berkeley and Zoey (10) who are 4th graders here at Cactus Ranch. I have taught second grade, kindergarten and first grade. When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family, being outdoors, and photographing families. This will be my sixteenth year of teaching and fifth year at Cactus Ranch. I have previously taught at Great Oaks and Jollyville, which are also in the district. I feel blessed to have the opportunity to work with such a wonderful community of educators, parents, and children. I truly love to teach and learn from children. I am anxious to get this school year underway.
It is very important to me that your child has a positive and enjoyable learning experience in first grade. It is my goal to create a classroom community in which every student can succeed and excel. I value your opinions as a parent, and understand that it is important for us to communicate and work together to support your child’s growth and learning. I am truly looking forward to building a relationship with you and your child.
